I am a native Spanish translator, also bilingual in Catalan, with over 6 years of experience in translation. I have a BA/MA in Translation and Interpreting and a MA in Audiovisual Translation. I am specialised in technical translation, being videogames, online games and software translation my strongest specialisations. In the past, I worked for 3 and half years for a videogames company as a Quality Assurance Localisation Technician and then Lead, thanks to which I learnt everything about format holders’ standards and high quality games localisation, which I apply onto my day-to-day localisations. Besides, I am an experienced tester, not only within the videogames industry, but also within software, betting games industries, and I have also tested websites. On top of that, I have also done translations of other subjects such as subtitles, Medicine, Engineering, Biotechnology, Marketing, Legal or Journalism. The type of games I prefer are casual games and RPGs. I can say I enjoy playing Social games too (those offered on Facebook). But during my years as a tester, as well as those I have been working as a translator (localiser), I think I have pretty much worked in any type of game, from MMO to kids games, shooting games, sports or even “good lifestyle” games. Besides, I have worked in some projects with a group of other translators, specialised in games too, so I could offer also any language translation, should your project need it. Apart from my work as a translator, I also enjoy photography, cooking, reading and I have two blogs about translation (one in Spanish and another one in English).
